Residential Aged Care in Mandurah
Finding the right residential aged care home for someone you love is one of the most significant decisions a family makes. At Coolibah Care, we understand that – and we want to make the process as clear and helpful as possible.
Coolibah Care’s 136-bed residential aged care facility sits in the heart of Mandurah, close to the community our residents have lived in and loved. We offer modern amenities, light-filled open spaces, sensory gardens, on-site catering, and a warm, welcoming environment where residents and their families feel at home from the start.
Every room has an ensuite bathroom, built-in wardrobes, and a television. More importantly, every resident has a team around them that gets to know who they are – their likes, their stories, their habits – and delivers care that reflects that.

FAQs
Questions families ask about residential aged care in Mandurah
Close Button
How do I know when it is time for residential aged care?
There is no single moment that tells you it is time. Most families describe a gradual accumulation – safety concerns at home, increasing needs that are becoming difficult to meet, carer exhaustion, or a specific event that makes the situation feel unsustainable. If you are asking the question, it is usually worth having a conversation with someone who can help you think it through. Our team is always happy to talk, without obligation.
What is the difference between residential aged care and independent living?
Residential aged care is for older people who need ongoing clinical and personal support around the clock – help with daily tasks, nursing care, and specialist support as needs change. Independent living is for people who are largely self-sufficient but want the security and community of a retirement village setting. Coolibah Care offers both and our team can help you work out which is the right fit.
What does residential aged care cost in Mandurah?
The cost of residential aged care in Australia is made up of several components – a basic daily fee, a means-tested care fee, and in some cases an accommodation payment. The exact amount depends on individual circumstances and is assessed by the Australian Government. Our cost and fees page explains how this works, and our team can talk you through what it means for your family.
Does Coolibah Care offer dementia-specific residential care?
Yes. Coolibah Care has two purpose-designed areas specifically for residents living with dementia – secure, calm environments built around familiarity, routine, and connection. Our team specialises in dementia care and works closely with families throughout. Find out more about dementia care at Coolibah Care.
What is Coolibah Care’s approach to voluntary assisted dying?
Voluntary assisted dying is designed to offer eligible Western Australians an additional option for end-of-life decisions within the context of high-quality, person-centred end-of-life care. Coolibah Care adheres to the Western Australian Voluntary Assisted Dying Guidelines in compliance with the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2019. Coolibah Care does not engage the services of medical practitioners or nurse practitioners to facilitate residents’ access to voluntary assisted dying. Consistent with legislative requirements, Coolibah Care will not impede a resident’s right to access voluntary assisted dying, nor negatively impact a resident’s dignity or right to choose this option. Coolibah team members may be approached in relation to voluntary assisted dying and will escalate the matter to a senior member of the clinical team to support access to appropriate information and resources.
